Will I Receive a Temporary Tag? | Roller Auction Help Center
Temporary tags may be available depending on the type of vehicle you purchased and its emissions status.
When Temporary Tags Are Provided
A 60-day temporary tag will be provided if:
• The vehicle has passed emissions or is guaranteed to pass emissions
• You can provide a current proof of insurance
Both conditions must be met in order to receive a temporary tag.
When Temporary Tags Are NOT Provided
Temporary tags will not be issued for:
• Tow Away vehicles
• Failed emissions vehicles
• Vehicles purchased from the Aurora Impound auction
These vehicles are not eligible for temporary registration.
Important Reminder
If a vehicle is not eligible for a temporary tag:
• It cannot be legally driven on public roads
• You will need to arrange transportation (such as a trailer or tow service)
Helpful Tips
• Review the lot description for emissions status before bidding
• Bring proof of insurance if you plan to obtain a temporary tag
• Plan transportation in advance if the vehicle is not eligible
